ABOUT KOENIG EXPANDER® PLUG INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT

Both pull-style and push-style KOENIG EXPANDER plug models are designed for fast installation and easy integration into existing manufacturing environments. Expander plug insertion can be manual or completely automated using our efficient hydropneumatic table presses. In addition, quality controls can be easily integrated into the production process to provide reliable and repeatable installation.

All KOENIG EXPANDER plug installation solutions meet the most demanding levels of quality, safety and precision. SFC KOENIG® expander plug table presses are designed to:

HYDROPNEUMATIC TABLE PRESSES

Our installation equipment includes two hydropneumatic table presses for the installation of KOENIG EXPANDER plug components:

  • > The EXPRESS 5000 hydropneumatic table press accommodates KOENIG EXPANDERS series MB and LP from Ø 12mm to 22mm.
  • > The EXPRESS 3000 is designed for KOENIG EXPANDERS series MB and LP from Ø 3mm to 10 mm.

Both hydropneumatic table presses include a quick tool change feature, which helps avoid long changeover times. The table presses’ required working stroke is preprogrammed and can be retrieved by the KOENIG EXPANDER plug type to be processed (with a maximum of 32 memory locations). To guarantee high process stability and quality, the working stroke is referenced for each individual expander plug. In addition, the force- and distance-controlled hydropneumatic table presses feature an optional RS232 interface that can be used to trace corresponding data on the customer's computer for future processing.

In addition to our expander plug hydropneumatic table presses we also offer KOENIG EXPANDER setting tools.

ABOUT KOENIG EXPANDER PLUGS

The KOENIG EXPANDER plug is one of the most dependable expander seal options on the market. These expander plugs are available in sizes ranging from 0.093mm to 22mm in diameter, and in a variety of materials types. The expander plug solutions feature liberal tolerance allowances – up to 10 mm for push-style expander plugs and up to .12 mm for pull-style expander plugs – and have a proven sealing performance that effectively maintains system pressure levels.

KOENIG EXPANDER plug solutions maintain a field failure rate less than 0.5 PPM (parts per million), with proven performance and over 3 billion parts sold world-wide. More about KOENIG EXPANDER plug seals.
