EXPANDER SEALS – PUSH-STYLE KOENIG EXPANDER® MODELS

Push-type KOENIG EXPANDER seals provide a dependable sealing solution in an easy-to-install, one-piece package. These expander seals are available in stainless steel, case-hardening steel, aluminum and free-cutting steel and in a wide variety of sizes. With more than 3 billion parts installed and field failure rates less than 1 PPM, KOENIG EXPANDER seals provide proven performance and an industry-leading metal-to-metal seal solution.

Installation of push-style KOENIG EXPANDER seal models requires that a hole has been drilled with a step-type drill bit to create a counter bore. The expander seal plug is dropped into the hole up to the counter bore and then the ball is pressed into a seated shell, which causes serrated grooves to expand into the base material. No additional reaming, tapping or drilling is required. The design of the KOENIG EXPANDER seals creates a tight, secure, leak-free seal without the need for additional sealants, reducing the risk of contamination as well as production costs.
